DIY: Kimono Jacket

Sometimes with teaching myself how to sew, its hard to find projects that would be right for me . Right now, I'm learning how to sew things such as pencil skirts and maxi skirts but I wanted to challenge myself.

So, I logged into my favorite website, Youtube, to research some possible DIY projects I can try out. I came across a Youtube channel by the name of Mighty Mannie and I instantly became hooked. All of her DIY projects were cute, stylish and easy to make. It was one DIY project that I fell in love with. It was a floral kimono jacket, which is inspired by the Japanese style traditions.

Since it was my niece birthday coming up, I decided that I wanted to make this jacket for her as a birthday gift. I knew it would add extra pressure but that is just what I needed. Even though I messed up with a few details, I'm still happy with the outcome. I will be sure to do this DIY Kimono jacket again.
