DIY: Mother's Day Surprise

Mother's Day is always a great time to spend a day with your love ones and celebrate all that your mom has done for you. I knew I wanted to do something special, so instead of buying her gift I decide to make it myself. My first idea was to give her a custom made jewelry box but when I got to Michael's ( which is my favorite craft store ever!) they had ran out of the boxes. So, I choose to get a cup and paint it myself with my own little message.

I gather all of my art supplies and did some research on what kind of cup I wanted to paint. I kinda freestyle with the colors and design but made sure the majority of the designs would be something she would like. I also saw this awesome DIY Paper Flower craft that I wanted to try out ( will do separate post on it later). The craft didn't take too long and it was fun creating my own gift for my mom. And at the end of it all, she really love it!

So, what was your gift to your mom this Mother's Day! Let me know in the comments below.

Adventures of a Thrifter: Flea Market Finds

Philadelphia Flea Market
For a year now I have been shopping at thrift stores and it has been the best experience of my life. Finding great vintage clothes and jewelry has really enhanced my wardrobe and inspired me to try different things with my style.
