Travel Tuesday: My Adventures in Capetown, South Africa

It has been two years since I took the trip that would change my life. I never thought I would be able to travel to such a beautiful and amazing place like Capetown, South Africa but I did and it was definitely an inspiring journey for me.

Being able to experience the culture, learn about the history, taste the food and hear the stories from the people of Capetown,South Africa created memorable moments for me in my life. Some of my favorite moments was visiting the PanAfrican Market which was filled with amazing art, crafts and fabrics created by locals. I can never forget how fresh and exquisite the food was. Every taste was a thrill to my taste buds that I miss so much. Lastly, going to the townships and meeting all the locals that lived there was an amazing feeling. It also made me want to use my passions to give back to my community as they were doing in theirs. My goal is to someday go back and experience once again the rich culture of Capetown, South Africa. I won't quite until I do.

Check out just a few pictures of my journey and let me know what's one your travel wishlist below!

Left: Giraffe seen during game park visit at Aquila | Right: The Bo-Kaap neighborhood in Capetown known as the Malay Quarter

Left: Oxtail stew and fresh rolls at Moyo Kirstenbosch | Right: Vising the site where Nelson Mandela spoke for the first time since his prison sentence in Robben Island.
